Before we started creating a magazine advert we went about looking at various magazine adverts that were all ready available and in magazines. To do this we bought a selection of magazines these were a variety of different genres so that we could see different adverts. This included NME, Uncut, Kerrang and Mojo.

This advert was the backpage of the magazine, it is advertiseing a album for a band called elbow. This is a alternative rock band, this is the same genre as our band the stereophonics.
The advert is a very simple advert and contains no actual photos of the band its self or even actually any real photos at all. The advert is interlay made up of illustrations and has no real photos on it.
The font on the poster starts off with the band name, this is in red and is also bold on the poster it is also the biggest text. This makes it stand out alot and straight away grabs the attention of the person about what the video is about.
The other text that is bold is also the date it is released this is standing out again to let people know when the album will be available.
